05 — The Person
Ibrahim Saber
“A documentary is not an argument. It is time given to a person who was never allowed to finish a sentence.”
Ibrahim Saber

I began in newsrooms, where a story lasts ninety seconds. I spent years learning that the most important parts of what I saw never fit inside that. Documentary gave me the room the news did not have: to stay with a person after the crew has packed up, to follow a hospital corridor to the end, to let a silence run.
